this gamemode was fun, it had a bit more of a puzzle aspect than tetris. also, it reminded me a bit of puyo puyo. anyways, starting it off with 112 lines.
also, i have an idea for a later version: stripes tetrible. you can clear lines in alternating sections (e.g. #_#_#_#_#_ would clear 1/2 a line). this would bring down everything in those columns, so the max amount of lines you can clear at a time is 2 lines (and you can do so with any piece!) i think this will make for some pretty fun gameplay.
ok anyways, bye. i will work on improving my score. :)
the only frustration this version give me is the small pieces locks time when you soft drop, it’s instant lock if you accidentally hold soft drop too long. other than that, gg
bruh this timeout tho, its good to have but i would have really loved to play this one game of Tetris all through the day as i keep pausing to actually do work
the minecraft one? it was a bit complicated, i didn’t want to create a different effect for every piece (since i try to keep concepts easy to explain in a tweet). but i liked the idea, and it partly inspired the fragile tetrible version
ah i see. i think you didn't fully understand what i said there then, the idea was to just have that water effect, but have it placed randomly on one piece out of every set of 7. still nice that the fragile version came out of it though c:
for the record, i realized last night that for the past couple weeks, f used to fill the board with orange pieces in a secret grade pattern, and i’m still amazed as how no one has noticed it
even if i'm not sure how doable it is, i got a new idea for you, based on a stop-motion video i was reminded of today:
the idea is basically that one piece every bag would behave like the water piece at 1:12, and it also shows shortly after how line clears would be handled with water, or whatever liquid you'd wanna call it :P
also just came up with the idea to name this one wetrible
the time limit is 15 minutes. now that i mention it, i’m not sure how relevant it is to have a timer in zero grav mode.
i intentionally kept the ui on the lighter side (i didn’t even show the countdown), but i might change my mind on this at some point. i’m not familiar with the piece per second counter, is it like the amount of pps in the last 10 seconds or something?

if you press M you can switch game modes, including endless (without a timer) and zero grav
combos are still broken on this version, it's not going above 1 at all
also i went ahead and set a good score on this version

these bugs really are a pain because it takes like 5 minutes of regular play for them to happen at random.

right, i see. yeah, i didn’t want to have all the effects combined in a single version but there might be something to do with the water.

I thought the same thing about the shake but you honestly get used to it after a playing a couple of runs so it doesn't bother me as much anymore.

gm+ is basically a 20th line, with the pattern starting to go the opposite direction again, just like on line 10-11
